Nude Diary

I thought it might be fun to start putting together a diary or list of all the special days related to nakedness that happen throughout the year. If you know of any that I have missed then email me and I’ll add it.

January

  • 1st – Happy Nude Year! I don’t know if anyone else does this one, but Happy Nude Year has been a thing for me for as long as I can remember. Send nudes to your naked friends (but not to the ones who haven’t told you it’s okay, obviously), and start the nude year as you mean to go on.

February

  • First Friday in February (6th Feb 2026) – Work Naked Day. If you work from home or you have a particularly relaxed office environment then this is the day to take your clothes off and work naked. Just remember to put something on before opening Teams or Zoom.

March

  • Nothing yet. If you know of an event then let me know!

April

  • 13th – My birthday… send nudes. 😉

May

  • First Saturday in May (2nd May 2026) – World Naked Gardening Day. Every year gardeners around the world get naked and head out into the garden. It is a great way to celebrate our open spaces and to start the outdoor season in the best way.
  • 25th – Towel Day. Officially this is to celebrate the birthday of the late Douglas Adams, the author who wrote The Hitch-Hiker’s Guide To The Galaxy. It is not officially a nude day, but if you are carrying a towel you might as well wear it, and if all you are wearing is a towel then it has a place in this diary.

June

  • 5th – World Naturist Day. I assume we are just supposed to get naked for this one, which is never a problem around here.
  • 21st – Naked Hiking Day. Easier in some places than others, but this is the day to go for a walk and leave your clothes in your backpack.
  • 22nd – Go Commando Day. Some of us don’t bother for the rest of the year either, but if you habitually wear underwear then leave it at home. It is highly unlikely anyone else will notice (unless you want them to of course!) but it’s a good way to start realising that our obsession with the ‘right’ way to dress can be more flexible than we think.

July

  • First Week in July (6th – 12th July 2026) – Nude Recreation Week. Get naked and do stuff you would normally do clothed.
  • 12th – Skinny Dipping Day. Find a beach and get naked. This is easier in the UK where it is legal to strip off pretty much anywhere as long as you are not trying to shock or cause offence, but many countries have places you can go, so give it a try.
  • 14th – International Nude Day. I think a lot of these days were set up by people in the northern hemisphere where it is summer in July. Sorry, Australia.

August

  • 26th – Go Topless Day. I think this one is more for the women as men tend to go topless any day of the year, but go for equality and join in.

September

  • Nothing yet. If you know of an event then let me know!

October

  • 13th – No Bra Day. Probably more for Americans than Europeans as not wearing a bra is hardly unusual over here, but it’s on the calendar anyway.

November

  • Nothing yet. If you know of an event then let me know!

December

  • 11th – International Tango Day. Not intended to be a naked day at all, but if you have read much of this site you know that I teach tango, and you may have also read that I have occasionally taught tango in the nude. So if you tango, have a naked dance with someone to celebrate.
  • 25th – Christmas Day. Obviously we can’t forget this one, although opportunities for nakedness can be a bit limited as we often have the family over and not all of them share our love for the nude. So take a picture of yourself with the tree and send it to your nude friends as a Happy Christmas!
